The Seventeen Angels

1st Angel,Adam.

    All Evangelions are derived from Adam,and hence the striking resemblance with it.Adam has a 'weak point' that is in the form of a red-coloured ball.Once this is destroyed,it dies.Most other Angels in the series have weak points but some seem to lack them.When scientists found Adam,they tried to reduce it to its embryo state.Needless to say,the plan failed and a gigantic explosion erupted which melted most of the ice of the Antartica.The huge excess of water caused flooding throughout the world and half of the human race was wiped out.That disaster was called the 'Second Impact'.

2nd Angel,Lillith.

   Lillith(Eve),is found under the headquarters of NERV.The truth behind the second Angel is still obscure.There was nothing in the series that spoke of Lillith's origin.Lillith cannot be killed but it is possible to stop its regeneration by piercing the Longinus Spear through its chest.In the series,Lillith had only the upper torso present due to its inability to regenerate.

3rd Angel,Sachiel.

    Sachiel arrived in Tokyo 15 years after the Second Impact in the form of a green giant.It can generate cross-like explosions.Generating an AT Field,it protected itself from all conventional weapons and even the N2 bomb(A bomb with the same destructive power of a nuclear warhead but without the harmful radiation).

4th Angel,Shamshel.

    Shamshel was the next Angel after Sachiel.It had an elongated body and could fly without the aid of wings.Shamshel has two tentacles that are razor-sharp(laser-sharp) and can slice a building into two in just a second.

5th Angel,Ramiel.

    A blue diamond-shaped Angel of immense size,Ramiel moves(Floats)slowly but has equally amazing firepower and accuracy using its laser.Ramiel is one of the few Angels that do not possess a 'weak point'.So,you ask,how do you kill it?The answer is,well,kill it!

6th Angel,Gaghiel.

   Gaghiel is a huge Angel that swims with incredible speed underwater.Its weapon:a huge gaping maw complete with a set of razor-sharp teeth suitable for chewing through metal.It manages to make the tough metal used to manufacture battleships look like bubblegum.Its 'weak point' is found inside its mouth.

7th Angel,Israfael.

    Israfael,when injured,splits into two smaller and similar figures of the actual body.This Angel is totally unbeatable unless damage is inflicted on both figures at the exact same moment and thus both suffer damage,resulting in damage to their actual body.Confused?:).......Hardly.

8th Angel, Sandalphon.

   Sandalphon(In embryo form)was found inside an active volcano and quickly developed into a full-grown Angel within a matter of minutes.It has two long appendages resembling hands suitable for grappling and a toothy maw.Like the previous Angel Gaghiel,Sandalphon swims with lightning speed in (Guess what?) magma.It does not have a 'weak point'.Magma--->Melted rocks that have not reached the surface of the Earth yet.

9th Angel,Matarael.

    Like what the picture shows,Matarael looks like a gargantuan spider with only four legs.It is able to produce an acid that can dissolve metals in seconds.This Angel does not have a 'weak point'.

10th Angel,Sahaquiel.

    Originally spotted in space near the Earth,Sahaquiel started leaking energy.Those little drops of energy fell towards the Earth and exploded,creating monstrous craters on its surface.As more and more energy were leaked and more craters were formed,Sahaquiel eventually 'learned' the properties of Earth(Gravity) and took the plunge..........literally.It was calculated that the explosion would very likely blow NERV headquarters,which was situated underground,away totally.Apparently that was not the end of their troubles.As an Angel,Sahaquiel could generate an AT field and thus effectively blocking all possibilities of shooting it down with conventional weapons.Watch the episode to find out how the three children stopped the Angel from blowing NERV headquarters to smithereens.

11th Angel,Ireul.

    Ireul is a peculiar Angel that resembles a virus.It infiltrated the MAGI system and forced the three Master Computers to initiate the self-destruct sequence.As expected,this virus-like Angel has no 'weak point'.

12th Angel,Leliel.

    Leliel appears to be a huge ball of black and white stripes.When shot at,Leliel dissapears and attempts to 'swallow' up the attacking subject.It creates a shadow on the ground under the subject and,as it enlarges,'swallows' the unfortunate victim.This funny-looking(All Angels are)Angel has no 'weak point'.

13th Angel,Bardiel.

    Bardiel possessed Eva-03,a new Evangelion model,and controlled it.Bardiel is a blue liquid and attempted to possess Eva-00 too.It splitted itself and seeped into Eva-00's arm but Gendou ordered the already-infected limb to be severed from the main body.The origins of this Angel is not known(At least,to me).

14th Angel,Zeruel.

    Like Sachiel,Zeruel has the ability to generate cross-like explosions but with much more firepower. It also has two 'arms' that are actually super-sharp malleable razor blades.Zeruel is one of the most powerful among the seventeen Angels.Zeruel resembles a gargantuan marshmallow with razor blades for its arms.

15th Angel,Arael.

    Arael was located in Earth's orbit.Most weapons used in the episode are unable to even reach it;their bullets or charges are pulled by gravity and simply fall short of reaching the space-borne Angel. Arael attacks by using pyschic powers to mess up the victim's thoughts and possibly causing permanent brain damages.Arael has no 'weak point'.

16th Angel,Armisael.

    Armisael looks much like a halo of DNA strands.Don't let its looks deceive you though.Armisael can travel at blinding speed in the air and can meld together with an Evangelion,possessing it.Its abilities are like Bardiel except that Armisael can meld faster and has a more powerful AT Field.No 'weak point' for this Angel.

17th Angel,Tabris.

    The last Angel,Tabris,was introduced to NERV by the organization called Seele as the fifth children.He appears in the form of a human with similarities in looks of both Rei and Shinji.He named himself Kaoru and befriended Shinji.His synchronization rate was the same as Shinji's and both became close friends immediately.Tabris(Kaoru)manned Eva-02 without even getting into it and generated the most powerful AT Field mankind has ever known(Even the pressure knife used by all Evangelions to slice open an AT Field was unable to do so).Watch this spectacular episode for full details!!!
